WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

In a small Nigerian town, unbeknown to their parents, four young brothers decide to go to fishing at a forbidden river. They meet a local madman who utters a terrifying prophecy that one will kill the other. At that moment their destinies change forever. This chance encounter unleashes a spiral of fear which leads to a tragic chain of events of mythic proportions.

Based on the Man Booker shortlisted novel by one of Africa's major new voices, New Perspectives, a theatre company offering audiences new voices through work by cutting edge new talent and contemporary takes on existing work, present this powerful allegory of love, vengeance and fate in a new adaptation by award-winning playwright Gbolahan Obisesan.
