Tina Turner, Adrienne Warren and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith rehearse for Tina the Musical

Photos have been released showing Tina Turner rehearsing alongside the cast of Tina the Musical, which opens at the Aldwych Theatre in April.
Based on the life of the rock star, the new musical is written by Olivier Award-winning playwright Katori Hall (The Mountaintop), with direction by Phyllida Lloyd (Mamma Mia, The Shakespeare Trilogy). It follows Tina from a young age, through to her divorce from Ike Turner and time in London. The piece will include a number of Turner classic songs, and it was recently announced that the production will extend its West End run until 20 October.
The show stars Adrienne Warren in the titular role, alongside Kobna Holdbrook-Smith as Ike. Also in the cast are Madeline Appiah, Lorna Gayle, Tom Godwin, Francesca Jackson and Aisha Jawando.
Tina the Musical runs at the Aldwych Theatre from 17 April until 20 October, with previews from 21 March.
